The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence signed the Letter of Intent on cooperation with the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association

On 13^th of July the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LDSIA) delegation visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence (NATO ENSEC COE).

During the meeting the NATO NATO ENSEC COE and the LDSIA signed the Letter of Intent on cooperation having a goal to address existing energy efficiency shortfalls, develop efficient energy vise military capabilities and to seek achievements of further efficiencies through the development of innovative solutions in support of current and future coalition operations. The document indicates the intent on sharing the good practices in the concerned areas, exchanging of the experts and researchers within the joint projects, organizing joint seminars, workshops, trainings, conferences, courses or exercises and etc.

The NATO ENSEC COE was established on 10^th of July and accredited on 12^th of October, 2012. Currently it operates as a widely recognized international military organization with the aim of providing qualified and appropriate experts advices on questions related to operational energy security.

The mission of the NATO ENSEC COE is to assist Strategic Commands, other NATO bodies, nations, partners, and other civil and military entities by supporting NATO’s capability development process, mission effectiveness, and interoperability in the near, mid and long terms by providing comprehensive and timely subject matter expertise on all aspects of energy security. The mission includes cost effective solutions to support military requirements, energy efficiency in the operational field, and interaction with academia and industry.
