Official cooperation agreement between Republic of Lithuania and Sakartvelo signed at the NATO ENSEC COE premises

Today the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Ms Dalia Grybauskaitė, and President of Sakartvelo, Ms Salome Zourabichvili, visited Cyber Security Center which is located at the premises of Lithuanian Military Academy of General Jonas Žemaitis. Both Presidents were accompanied by large delegations which were headed by Defence Ministers of both States. The intent of the visit, in the light of current threats, was to state the willingness to intensify the cooperation in cyber defence area. Plans were set to organise common subject matter expert meetings, exchange data about cyber incidents and threats.

For the occasion of the official signature procedure the Director of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius, welcomed both Presidents, Defence Ministers and delegation members to the Halls of the NATO ENSEC COE. The Declaration of Intent was signed by the Defence Minister of Sakartvelo, Mr Levan Izoria, and the Defence Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Mr Raimundas Karoblis.
