Ukraine Government and industry delegation visit to NATO Energy security centre of excellence

On the 9th of October 2017, Mrs. Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska the Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Stable Development, Strategy and Investments of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, with a delegation of colleagues from the Ukrainian government and industry sectors. The Centre's Director Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas welcomed them together with Major Rimantas Šikas, Subject Matter Expert of the Education, Training and Exercise Division and Mr. Vytautas Butrimas, Subject Matter Expert of the Research and Lessons Learned Division.

The guests were briefed on the main tasks and aims of the Centre and current projects that the COE is participating in. The delegation was particularly interested in the aspects of research on energy security of the region and insight that the Centre and its experts could provide.

At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Nataliya Katser-Buchkovska signed the Centre's guestbook and invited the Centre to divide special attention to the specifics of energy transfer in the Eastern European region. Both parties expressed interest in future possibilities of broader COE cooperation with various Ukrainian institutions.
