UK Government officials' visit to the NATO ENSEC COE
On the 11th of June, the NATO ENSEC COE welcomed UK Government officials to discuss energy security issues and identify areas for sharing information or working together on new projects.
The guests were introduced to an overview of the purpose, mission, and main projects of the COE. Afterwards the COE’s representatives discussed Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection capabilities of the region as well as certain risks associated with them. The UK Government officials provided a corresponding briefing, focused predominantly on the UK methodological approach to ensuring energy resilience. The UK visitors also gave examples of how they have responded to events that have had an impact on the provision of energy to the civilian or military sectors of society.
Both parties found this a fruitful meeting and look forward to working more closely together in the future
