The high-ranking Finnish Diplomats visited the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence

On the 14^th of March, a delegation of Finnish Diplomats visited the NATO ENSEC COE as part of the Baltic Sea Region Finnish Diplomatic Corps Symposium, headed by H.E. Mr. Christer Michelsson, the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Lithuania. They were greeted by the Centre of Excellence Director Colonel Gintaras Badgonas.

The high-ranking Finnish Diplomats were acquainted with the NATO ENSEC COE organizational structure, its functions, activities, latest publications and on-going projects. In addition, the guests were briefed on the Energy Security and energy infrastructure of the Baltic Sea region. Among the topics were the present-day and future potential risk factors related to the stability of energy systems. Moreover, other discussed topics included the interconnected electricity networks between the Nordic and Baltic States and recent geopolitical developments in the Energy Sector in general.
