Students from Imperial College London visited NATO ENSEC COE
NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence welcomed a group of international students from Imperial College London (ICL) based in United Kingdom. Students currently seeking their degree of Masters of Science in Energy Policy are visiting Lithuania as a part of their study trip focused on energy security aspects.
This expedition, supported by the Centre of Environmental Policy of the ICL, lets students to explore and acknowledge regional and NATO energy security policies. During their visit to the NATO ENSEC COE, 16 students from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, France, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom were greeted by the Centres Director Colonel Romualdas PETKEVIČIUS. Head of Doctrine and Concept Development Division, Commander Andrea MANFREDINI, made a presentation about COE, its mission and ongoing projects. Important studies were presented by the Centres Subject Matter Experts Ms Jennifer DORAN and Ms Julia VAINIO.
Previously, visitors have already met the former Lithuanian vice minister of energy, Mr Romas ŠVEDAS, and former European Commissioner for energy, Mr Andres PIEBALGS, former European Commissioner for energy. Such meetings and visits to various institutions gives students an opportunity to see the bigger picture of energy security issues, discuss relevant questions and foster international cooperation.
