State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia visited NATO ENSEC COE

On the 3rd of May, the NATO ENSEC COE was visited by Mr. Jānis GARISONS, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia. The guest was welcomed by the Centre's Director, Colonel Romualdas PETKEVIČIUS, who introduced State Secretary to the Centre and its main activities.

State Secretary was particularly interested in projects and studies carried out by the Subject matter experts of the NATO ENSEC COE. Mr J. GARISONS wanted to learn more about the ongoing research on threats of Ostrovets Nuclear Powerplant, Baltic region‘s synchronization study and other projects. During the discussion upcoming exercises and further plans were also touched upon. 

At the end of the meeting, Director of the Centre expressed his gratitude for the visit and presented the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia with an official plaque of the NATO ENSEC COE.
