Round table workshop on critical energy infrastructure protection

On March 23, Round table workshop on Critical energy infrastructure protection took place at the NATO ENSEC COE. The main goal of the workshop was to present the role of the NATO ENSEC COE in the field of critical energy infrastructure protection and to increase its cooperation with Lithuanian organizations related to the energy field.

The workshop started with welcome address made by Director of the Centre Col Gintaras Bagdonas and followed by introductionary speeches made by the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania Juozas Olekas and the Minister of Energy of Lithuania Rokas Masiulis. Later Col Gintaras Bagdonas presented the main activities of the Centre and invited all participants of the workshop to work together for security of critical energy infrastructure. In the followed presentation representative of “Klaipėdos Nafta” Marius Pulkauninkas pointed the challenges of implementation physical, IT and publicity security.

Presentations were followed by discussions, moderated by Deputy Director of the Centre LTC Nicolas Henry.
