Representatives from U.S. Embassy visited the NATO ENSEC COE

On 24th February, delegation of the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius have visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. The guests were met by the Director of the NATO ENSEC COE Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas, Director of Cyber Security and Information Technologies departament of the Ministry of National Defence Arvydas Plėštys and Head of Lithuania's National Cyber Defence Centre Rimtautas Černiauskas.

Director Col. G. Bagdonas presented general vision, objectives and main activities of the NATO ENSEC COE. After presentation, heads of NATO ENSEC COE, National Cyber Defence Centre and members of delegation discussed about possible U.S. contribution in future activities, training and cooperation.

The United States of America is the NATO ally that is in the joining process to the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. After the joining, the U. S. A. will become one of the Sponsoring Nations of the Centre contributing to the budget and providing an expert in the capacity of the Head of Training and Exercise Division.
