Prime Minister of Georgia visited the ENSECCOE

 

On November 4th, the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mr. Dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Otal Daniela, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Janelidze and the Ambassador of Georgia to Lithuania Ms. Khatuna Salukvadze visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence.

 

The Director of NATO ENSEC COE Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas presented the NATO ENSEC COE mission and main activities, pointing out the solid cooperation with the Republic of Georgia. Col G. Bagdonas expressed his gratitude for Georgia’s contribution to the Centre and active and fruitful cooperation during last years in common exercise, conferences, etc.

 

After the presentation Prime Minister of Georgia addressed the Georgian officers who are studying in the Generolas Jonas Žemaitis Lithuanian Military Academy at the moment, thanked for their service and involvement in international relations.

 

The NATO ENSECCOE and Georgia have close relationship especially trough the State Military Scientific-Technical Center "DELTA" . DELTA contributes to the ENSEC COE with subject matter expert and budget. In 2014, DELTA was also co-director with the NATO ENSEC COE of Conference and exhibition “Innovative Energy Solutions for Military Application (IESMA) 2014”.

 

On April, 2016, Energy Security Strategic Awareness Course will be organized by NATO ENSEC COE with cooperation with the US Naval Postgraduate School and Georgian DELTA Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia.
