NATO Parliamentary Assembly visit

On June 1, 2014, the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence welcomed members of NATO Parliamentary Assembly Science and Technology Committee, leaded by Vice President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Mrs. Cheryl Gallant. The event was dedicated to one of the most important issues in both international and Lithuanian arena - Energy Security.

LTC Nicolas Henry, Deputy Director of NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, presented the Centre and its activities, informing that its policy-oriented research aims to identify threats to the objects of energy infrastructure, develop and execute training courses and work on exercises in the field of Energy Security. LTC N. Henry also presented Energy Security issues, its regional landscape and major investment projects. The Presentation was followed by Question and answer session. 

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Spring Session in Vilnius from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June brought together some 280 parliamentarians from the 28 NATO member countries from North America and Europe as well as delegates from partner countries and observers to discuss current transatlantic security matters and the reports prepared by the Assembly’s committees.
