NATO Military Committee Chairman visited NATO ENSEC COE

On the 25th of September the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence received a high ranking delegation from the NATO Military Committee. The group of representatives was led by the NATO Military Committee Chairman Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart PEACH. The honoured guests were welcomed by the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence Director Colonel Romualdas PETKEVIČIUS. The Director was accompanied by the Head of Doctrine and Concept Development Division LTC Massimo DACCHILLE and the Centres Legal Adviser Dr. Artūras PETKUS.

A broad presentation about the NATO ENSEC COE, its structure, mission, main activities and future development plans was given by the Centre’s Director Colonel R. PETKEVIČIUS. The introduction was followed by an overview of ongoing projects and research from the Subject Matter Experts Ms Inga PUIKEVSKA from Strategic Analysis Division, Lieutenant Commander Özgür DÜNDAR from Education Training and Exercise Division and, Mr Vytautas BUTRIMAS from Research and Lessons Learned Division.

During the meeting the Military Committee Chairman Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart PEACH and the Center’s representatives became actively involved in the discussion regarding the NATO Energy Security Centre’s work and its possible future plans and strategy. Both parties agreed that the Energy Security and Energy Resiliency topics are of high importance for the military activities.

At the end of the meeting the guests from the NATO Military Committee and the representatives of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence exchanged gifts. The NATO Military Committee Chairman Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart PEACH highly prized the NATO ENSEC COE by signing in the Center’s Book of Honored Guests.
