NATO leverages advances and shares best practice in e- Learning technology

NATO ENSEC COE subject matter expert MAJ Remigijus Zilinskas represented NATO ENSEC COE at the annual NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) e-Learning forum. Forum was held on 23-25 of September 2014 at the Virginia Modelling and Simulation Centre, Suffolk, Virginia.

The aim of the forum is to learn, share and connect with all stake holders from different NATO entities and beyond, to create more engaging and effective learning environment. The event brought together developers, academics and users of e-Learning from NATO and Partners nations to discuss and develop new ideas for continuing the development of quality, efficient, relevant and cost effective on-line education and training.

The importance of NATO e-learning has been increased after Chicago Summit with the announcement of Connective Forces Initiative (CFI) and shifting NATO posture from operations to readiness. It is worth mentioning that NATO ENSEC COE is working closely in line with the global NATO Training and Education Landscape and was nominated as Department Head of Energy Security Discipline development, including e-learning (ADL).
