NATO ENSEC COE welcomed a high ranking delegation from Joint Force Command Brunssum

On the 16th of January the NATO ENSEC COE welcomed a high ranking delegation from Joint Force Command Brunssum, headed by Lieutenant General Erhard Bühler, the Designated Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum, Colonel Markus Kossack, an Executive Officer, Mr. Leonid Graf von Keyserlingk, the Special Advisor, and Lieutenant Colonel Thorsten Fries, the Defence Attaché to the Republic of Lithuania. They were received by the Director of NATO ENSEC COE Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius, the Deputy Director Pascal Fernandez, and the Heads of the NATO ENSEC COE divisions and Subject Matter Experts.

The delegation was briefed by the Director on the Centres mission and main objectives, followed by presentation on major developments and on-going projects that the Centre has done in the past and mandated to conduct in the future. The presentation was supported with inputs from Head of Doctrine and Concept Development Division as well as Head of Strategic Analysis Division on energy efficiency and resilience factor in NATO military operations, as well as energy innovations used in current military deployments.

The visit was wrapped up with a discussion on recent developments in energy security of the European Allies, the ongoing study of Central European Pipeline System and progress of fuel cell technology usage in military environment.
