NATO ENSEC COE subject matter expert gave a speech at The Eastern Partnership 10 Years Conference

Subject Matter Expert Ms. Julia VAINIO presented the NATO ENSEC COE at the College of Europe Natolin campus in Warsaw on the 28th of March. As part of a commemoration Conference organized for the 10 years of Eastern Partnership after the Prague Summit, Ms. VAINIO took part on a panel discussing the energy (in)securities of the region in relation to the European Union and Russia.

The Eastern Partnership is an EU-led initiative aimed at strengthening and deepening relations between the EU and the six EaP countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. It is meant to improve both the bilateral and multilateral cooperation of the EU and the region’s countries.

The international Conference was held by the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe. The mission of the Chair is to teach and encourage reflection on EU and EU member states' foreign policies towards the EU’s eastern and southern neighbourhood and to familiarize students with the multi-facetted security-related, political and socio-economic developments and structures in both neighbourhoods.
