NATO ENSEC COE has organized a “Call for Charity Fund Gathering” for families in need

The NATO ENSEC COE is developing new traditions which are being introduced with the inflow of a new and very inspiring colleagues that has joined the COE family not long ago.

This December the NATO ENSEC COE has organized a “Call for Charity Fund Gathering” amongst COE personnel. The funds were gathered only from COE employee personal sources, and only as much as anyone could and was able to provide. The idea behind this event is to help out former military families who have lost their parents in service, illness or because of other reasons, and which are struggling financially and morally. This support is much needed for families with many children, especially during extreme times of COVID-19 pandemic.

Sadly, there are too many families that need support. The ones which looked the most desperate were selected. With direct communication only needed goods were provided. In order to make this event memorable and in spirit of Christmas one of the NATO ENSEC COE officers has assumed the role of a Santa Clause.

Let’s hope that at least some joy and warmth was brought to the hearts and minds of these families.
