NATO ENSEC COE expert discussed energy security challenges at the Central European Day of Energy 2022

On the 8th of December, Mr. Lukas Trakimavičius, Subject Matter Expert from the Research and Lessons Learned Division attended the Central European Day of Energy 2022 conference. He spoke about the ongoing war in Ukraine and relevant critical energy infrastructure protection challenges.

Other panellists included representatives from the European Commission, Bruegel, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, Energy Community, Gas Infrastructure Europe and Nuclear Europe, among other institutions.

This conference was organised by Central European Energy Partners in collaboration with the Energy Post.

The main topics discussed were the multi-dimensional European energy crisis, gas supply challenges in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia’s threat to energy infrastructure and the Moscow’s weaponization of energy supplies.
