NATO ENSEC COE expert discussed critical subsea energy infrastructure protection challenges

On the 26th of May, Mr. Lukas Trakimavičius, Subject Matter Expert from the Research and Lessons Learned Division attended the “Critical infrastructure protection in the Baltic Sea” conference. He spoke about regional critical energy infrastructure protection challenges, solutions and opportunities for collaboration.

Other panellists included representatives from the European Commission, Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) and the European External Action Service (EEAS), among other institutions and companies.

The event was organised by the Centre for Military Studies of the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with Rasmus Jarlov from the Danish Parliament.

The conference focused on protecting maritime infrastructures based on the water, below the surface and on the seabed.
