NATO ENSEC COE Expert delivered a presentation at Cyber Security & Resilience Conference in London
Dr. Tadas Jakštas, a Subject Matter Expert from Research and Lessons Learned Division delivered a presentation on cyber security vulnerabilities and threats to critical energy infrastructure at Cyber Security & Resilience Conference, which took place in London.
The event gathered a wide range of cyber experts from industry, academia and international organisations. The main topics of discussions included the merge of IT and OT sectors, supply chain vulnerabilities, cyber skills shortage, risk assessment strategies, as well as the need to ensure that cyber security and resilience are prioritised from board level throughout the organisation.
NATO ENSEC COE’s representative delivered a presentation called “The Cybersecurity Dimension of Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection”. Alongside the conference’s discussions about aims to mitigate risks in the supply chain, cyber skills shortage and risk assessment strategies, Dr. Tadas Jakštas presented NATO‘s approach and outlook. Since protection of critical energy infrastructure is one of NATO’s three stated pillars of energy security, Subject Matter Expert emphasised its importance in the context of current cyber security risks and arising threats.
