NATO ENSEC COE Director was invited to the meeting with the National Defence and Security Committee

The NATO ENSEC COE Director Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius and Head of Strategic Analysis Division Dr. Artūras Petkus were invited to the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania for the meeting with the chairman of the National Defence and Security Committee. The meeting was attended by delegates from various governmental institutions responsible for energy security, state security and intelligence. The meeting was headed by the Committee chairman Mr. Vytautas Bakas.

The participants of the meeting discussed Lithuania’s progress in the field of energy security and energy supply independency. Issue of readiness to withstand energy supply cut-outs was raised and discussed in order to prepare the Committee chairman’s visit and speech at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Parliamentary Assembly.
