NATO ENSEC COE delegation visited Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania
Today the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence delegation visited Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania, headed by Centre’s Director Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius. The Director was accompanied by Dr Artūras Petkus, the Head of the Strategic Analysis Division. The guests were welcomed by the Minister of Energy Mr Žygimantas Vaičiūnas and Mr Tomas Lukoševičius, the Head of International Cooperation and Planning Division.
During the meeting representatives of both institutions expressed high interest in working together. Possibility of common projects involving development of energy sector cyber security system and cyber defense network implementation were discussed. Mr Vaičiūnas was delighted to announce that, in the light of common goals and projects, an expert from Ministry of Energy might be delegated to the staff of the NATO ENSEC COE in the near future.
The meeting was finalized with a wrap-up discussion and prioritization of common future projects, as well as setting the plan for project coordination.
