NATO ENCEC COE was visited by research fellow from US think tank - Hoover Institute

On July 2 the NATO ENSEC COE hosted research fellow from Stanford University’s Hoover Institute, Commander David M. Slayton. The visitor met with representative of ENSEC COE Deputy Director Colonel Jean-Marc Bouillet and Subject Matter Expert Julia Vainio.

The meeting was organized in order to discuss the LNG market and its significance for NATO countries, including the Baltic region. ENSEC COE Deputy Director Colonel Jean-Marc Bouillet introduced the activity of ENSEC COE to the visitor and discussed possible future cooperation with Hoover Institute. Both delegations exchanged their views on the significance of sustainable energy grid for the Baltic States and the impact of climate change on energy security.

The exchange of views was a great opportunity for both parties to broaden their knowledge on the Baltic Sea region energy security situation and especially the future of LNG markets.
