Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC – NE) Commander visit to NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence

Today, Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC – NE) Lieutenant General Manfred Hofmann (DEU Army), paid a visit to NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. The Director of the Centre, Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas welcomed the Commander and gave a presentation on the Centre’s organization, aims and day-by-day business.

The Commander was also briefed by representatives of the Centre. Head of Doctrine and Concept Development Division gave a presentation on the Deployable Hybrid Power Generation & Management System (HPGS) developed by the Centre; Head of Education, Training and Exercise division discussed about exercises and courses performed by Centre’s members within NATO commands; the cyber security expert of the Centre gave a short introduction on the subject and the two Strategic Analysis Division fellows talked about their research studies on Baltic States and Ukraine.

At the end of the meeting, Colonel Bagdonas and Lieutenant General Manfred Hofmann exchanged souvenirs.
