H.E Ambassador of the State of Israel visited The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence.

On the 20th of September 2018, the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence was visited by His Excellency Amir Maimon Ambassador of the State of Israel. The Centre’s Director Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius and Deputy Director LTC Pascal Fernandez briefed the delegation about NATO ENSEC COE projects and ongoing tasks, the guests were keen to discuss energy security issues of Critical Energy Infrastructure Protections (CEIP) and ongoing research projects conducted by Strategic Analysis Division.

His Excellency Ambassador of the State of Israel welcomed the possibility of bilateral cooperation between the State of Israel and The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence.  The areas of cooperation will involve innovation in energy technology and CEIP. Director Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius expressed his delight about such collaboration and proposed to further the discussion during conference in Israel. COL Petkevičius will be speaking at the 16th annual edition of Israel Energy & Business Convention 2018, in Ramat-Gan on method and studies of protecting Critical Energy Infrastructure and current geopolitical concerns.

NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence is delighted to welcome Israel as a collaborative partner nation, and encourage other NATO nations and partners to join the cooperation, in order to promote energy security, efficiency and energy management in the future! The visit commenced with the formal invitation of The State of Israel business and private entities to join the flagship event “Innovative energy Solution in Military Applications” (IESMA 2018).
