ENSEC COE is in the loop of the NATO training landscape development
NATO ENSEC COE subject matter expert MAJ Remigijus Zilinskas represented NATO ENSEC COE at the 2014 NATO Training Synchronisation Conference (TSC), which was held in Warsaw (Poland) from 3 to 6 February with over 250 participants gathered to discuss a wide variety of training, education and exercise issues.
NATO ENSEC COE laid main focus on the new training landscape and recent revisions to NATO's Education and Training Policy, including the NATO e-Learning Programme. The participants also discussed ways of better collaborating across a wide variety of NATO-related training organizations, sharing best practices along with updates on ITEP and Training Technology, as well as training quality assurance.
It was the largest and best represented TSC with 26 NATO Nations, 21 Partners, 15 Centres of Excellence (COEs) along with 22 PTECs Nations attending. The importance of NATO training and education has been increased after Chicago Summit with the announcement of Connective Forces Initiative (CFI) and shifting NATO posture from operations to readiness.
