ENSEC COE have participated in the exercise MARSEC-2015

The NATO ENSEC COE have participated in the exercise MARSEC-2015 with one subject matter expert Cdr. Murat Tuncer, in order to provide expertise on energy security. The exercise took place between 21-28 October, 2015 in MARSEC COE- Marmaris/Turkey and Eastern Mediterranean.The aim of the exercise was to enhance maritime security, focusing on strategic, operational and tactical aspects of maritime security operations (MSO) in a defined scenario in the maritime environment. Energy security was one of the exercise objectives.

The exercise were intended to improve cooperation and collaboration among maritime security stakeholders as well as developing leading guidelines on multinational and multiagency engagement for maritime security challenges.

EXER MARSEC-2015 consisted of four phases comprising Force Integration Training (FIT), Command Post Exercise (CPX), Live Field Exercise (LIVEX) and After Action Review (AAR). Turkish Naval Forces, Turkish Coast Guard Forces, Governmental Organizations, Romanian NAVY and representatives from NATO Shipping Center, CJOS COE, ENSEC COE, Romania, Bahrein and Qatar participated in the exercise.
