Energy Security Program with regional focus is being held in Georgia

The first Energy Security Course has started on 11th April in Tbilisi, Georgia. The 5 days’ curriculum was developed by the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence and Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, and in support of Georgia’s military scientific technical center DELTA.

The purpose of the course is to explain energy interests, developments and threats, raise awareness on NATO role in energy security and set up future interagency cooperation. The event was welcomed by the high representative from Ministry of Energy of Georgia.

The training audience has been formed form Georgian governmental agencies and institutions such as Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Environmental agency and others. In the future, this course might be open for other regional nations as well.
