Director of the NATO ENSEC COE visited Ministry of Defence of Latvia

On the 6th February, The Director of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence (ENSEC COE) Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas has visited the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia and met with the Undersecretary of Defence Mr. Aivars Purins.

During the visit, the Director have presented the major activities of ENSEC COE and discussed about possible plans of cooperation.

During his visit, Col G. Bagdonas also met with the officials of Latvian Ministry of Defence and its services to brief them on the ongoing and potential projects of ENSEC COE and its engagement with Latvian institutions. The member of the Steering Committee of the NATO ENSEC COE Mr. Edgars Kiukucāns has also participated in the meetings.

Latvia is a Sponsoring Nation of the NATO ENSEC COE, contributing with Subject Matter Expert for the Strategic Analysis Division and financial contributions to the annual budget.
