Conference

On 21 November 2013 a conference "Cooperative Approach to Energy Security: View from NATO and Beyond" co-organised by NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence and the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan was held in Baku.

The importance of energy security related actions for ensuring an adequate response to contemporary challenges has been highlighted during opening remarks made by Director of Center for Strategic Studies Dr. Farhad Mammadov and Deputy Director of NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence Ltc. Nicolas Henry.

Speakers and participants of the conference from NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence and the Center for Strategic Studies, together with speakers from NATO, Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, ISDEFE, Baku State University, Woodrow Wilson International Center, NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) - Embassy of Romania to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Energy Stream and other organizations were discussing energy security issues on regional and global levels in order  to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and work out common approach in the field of energy infrastructure protection and other areas of common interest.
