Colgate University Political Science students form US visit the NATO ENSEC COE

On the 30th of January, the NATO ENSEC COE was visited by a student group consisting of 17 undergraduates from the US, majoring in political science and international relations. The visit was a part of their university’s Geneva Study Program, where they spend one semester abroad studying international institutions.

Students were welcomed by the Centre’s Deputy Director Lieutenant Colonel Christophe Nave and Head of Research & Lessons Learned Division Dr. Reiner Zimmermann. Guests were introduced to the structure, mission and main activities of the NATO ENSEC COE. They showed great interest in ongoing projects and research presented to them and they found particular interest in issues regarding climate change and technology. Students were interactive throughout the entire presentation and engaged in discussions on topics reaching form cyber security to geopolitics.

The guests were grateful for the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in energy security and how the NATO ENSEC COE operates. After already visiting Berlin, Vienna and Krakow, Vilnius was the last stop on their excursion before returning to Geneva.
