Closer cooperation with Netherlands

On February 26, General Tom Middendorp, Chief of Defence of Netherlands and Major General Jonas Vytautas Žukas, Chief of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. COL Gintaras Bagdonas, Director of the NATO ENSEC COE, and LTC Luca Dottarelli, Head of Doctrine and Concept Development Division of the NATO ENSEC COE, presented to the distinguished guests the energy security overview, NATO’s role in energy security as well as Centre`s activities and projects. 

COL Gintaras Bagdonas invited General Tom Middendorp and his delegation to encourage the Government of Netherlands to intensify cooperation with the NATO ENSEC COE, including an option of consideration by the Netherlands to join the Centre as a Sponsoring Nation.

General Tom Middendorp expressed interest in  the activities of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence as well as in exploring ways of closer cooperation.
