Brigadier General Matthew L. Brand visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence

On 16th October 2014, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Policy, Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation of NATO Brigadier General Matthew L. Brand and his military assistant Commander Stephan Annighoefer visited the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. Brigadier General Brand is the SACT flag officer champion of the NATO ENSEC COE and this was his first visit to the NATO ENSEC COE.

The director of the NATO ENSEC COE Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas welcomed the Brigadier General Brand and pointed out the importance and the value of such visit.

After the Command Briefing, given by the Director, COL Gintaras Bagdonas, the General was briefed by the Division Directors on the actual NATO ENSEC COE activities, current status of manning, Centre` vision with the most important tasks in support of NATO in accordance with the Program of Work.

Brigadier General Matthew L. Brand also participated at the first enlargement of the NATO ENSEC COE - Arrangement signing with Georgia ceremony.

At the end of the meeting Brigadier General Matthew L. Brand appreciated the good work done by the NATO ENSEC.
