Baltic region COE Directors convened in NATO ENSEC COE for a Directors conference

On the 7th of June NATO ENSEC COE welcomes the Directors of three Baltic region COEs – NATO STRATCOM COE, NATO CCD COE and Hybrid COE – who convened in NATO ESNSEC COE for a Directors conference. Among the topics discussed were cooperation, regional security issues, upcoming projects and further integration of hybrid risk assessment competences.

The aim of the conference is to share deliverables between COEs related to non-conventional security issues and coordinate future efforts on the strategic level. Furthermore one of its aims is to look at the overall situation of the region and NATO / EU members’ territories, and relate the various “big-picture” observations that the COEs make using their expertise.

Moreover the two-day Directors’ meeting will end with the Flag raising ceremony of Finland, due to its ascension to Contributing Partner of NATO ENSEC COE, as well as a signing of a letter of intent to cooperate between Hybrid COE and NATO ENSEC COE. These events will take place in the premises of NATO ENSEC COE in the Lithuanian Military Academy of Jonas Žemaitis on June 8^th. It is planned that in attendance there will be ambassadors and representatives of countries of NATO ENSEC COE as well as other distinguished guests.
