Annual NATO Roundtable on Energy Security 2017

The representatives from the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence Mr. Artūras Petkus, Head of the Strategic Analysis Division and Mr. Vytautas Burtimas, Subject Matter Expert of the Research and Lessons Learned Division participated in the annual NATO Roundtable on Energy Security which was hosted in Brussels. In attendance were representatives of national NATO delegations, members of related think tanks and interested parties from the industry and governmental sectors.

The main topics discussed were the specifics of energy security of the Eastern and Northern European regions, which are tightly related to the overall security of Europe. The role of economics was debated as well, with special consideration directed to the main export country of European energy, as well as possible threat to energy infrastructures or the sector as a whole.
