5th Steering Committee meeting

The 5th Steering Committee meeting is being arranged on November 10-11 in Vilnius. Representatives from all sponsoring and partner nations of the NATO ENSEC COE - Estonia, France, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey and United Kingdom are participating in the Steering Committee meeting. In addition, representatives from Czech Republic and Canada are participating as observers.  The meeting is chaired by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mr. Andrius Krivas.

The main topics of the meeting were NATO ENSEC COE enlargement process and partnership activity, Programme of Work of NATO ENSEC COE for 2015.

The NATO ENSEC COE was established on 10 July, 2012 and was granted a status of NATO body and International Military Organization by North Atlantic Council on 12 October, 2012. The mission of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence is to assist NATO, NATO nations, Partners and other bodies by supporting NATO`s capability development process, mission effectiveness and interoperability by providing comprehensive and timely expertise on aspects of energy security.
