22nd NATO ENSEC COE Steering Committee meeting was held in Riga

On 6th of April members of NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence Streeting Committee met in Riga, Latvia to discuss development, budget, manning status, program of work, and other questions. Representatives from NATO HQ, NATO ACT, Denmark, Japan and Sweden participated as observers.

"Russia's war in Ukraine has shown that energy security is an integral part of national security, that is why work of NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence is more important than ever", - said Viceminister of Defence of Lithuania Žilvinas Tomkus who chairs NATO ENSEC COE Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee is set up by the Sponsoring Nations as the main body for guidance, oversight and decisions on all matters concerning the administration, policies and operation of the NATO ENSEC COE. Steeting Committee meeting are organised twice a year.
