NATO ENSEC COE Subject Matter Expert Dr. Tadas Jakštas delivered a lecture to George Washington University students
On the 4th of April, Dr. Tadas Jakštas, SME of the NATO ENSEC COE, delivered a lecture via VTC to the students of the Elliott School of International Affairs of George Washington University on the security of gas and oil supplies in the context of EU-Russia relationship.
Dr. Jakštas introduced and outlined the logic of the asymmetrical interdependence in the EU-Russia energy security relations, while paying special attention to the diverse governance structures as well as incompatible energy security approaches. In addition the lecture also focused on the analysis of several mitigation measures which could strengthen the EU's energy security position. Finally, the lecture ended with an interesting and thought-provoking Q/A that included active participation from the students.
