NATO ENSEC COE conducted a Final Planning Conference for it's flagship table top exercise “Coherence Resilience-18”
On 22-23th of October the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence welcomed international representatives who gathered for Final Planning Conference in preparation for this year’s flagship table top exercise on Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection “Coherence Resilience-18”, which will take place on 3-7th of December in Vilnius.
The Conference included final revision of the lectures, syndicate structure, content of the scenario and considerations about logistics requirements for exercise participants. During the Conference an opportunity was taken to discuss matters of control groups and the agenda of the future exercise.
The main focus of the exercise “Coherence Resilience-18” will be on collective defence of the Baltic regions, which will include Poland, Sweden and Finland, fuel supply from hybrid threats. The goal of the participants during the exercise - fuel logistics experts, defence and civil emergency planners, diplomats from key countries and energy operators - will be to name vulnerabilities in current fuel supply infrastructures, determine military dependence on those infrastructures, and to identify measures that can be taken to make them protected.
