NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence in Vilnius will honour one of the chief supporters of the Baltic States’ NATO membership - H. Hækkerup

The Conference Hall of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence in Vilnius was officially named after Hans Hækkerup, one of the principal supporters of the Baltic nations’ membership in NATO. The former Minister of Defence of Denmark made a substantial contribution to Lithuania’s, Latvia’s and Estonia’s membership in NATO and actively supported Baltic security and defence cooperation.

The ENSEC COE Conference Hall was named after H.Hækkerup at a formal ceremony on March 5. Minister of National Defence J.Olekas, Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius, Ambassador of Denmark in Lithuania HE Jorgen Molde were  attended at the event among other guests.
