Initial Planning Conference and Scenario Development Workshop of the Table-Top Exercise “Coherent Resilience 2020” was conducted in Ukraine

On 16-18 October 2019 the Initial Planning Conference and Scenario Development Workshop of the Table-Top Exercise “Coherent Resilience 2020” (TTX) took place in Kyiv, Ukraine.

During the three days event co-chaired by the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, representatives of relevant ministries and institutions of Ukraine, the NATO International Secretariat, the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats, the US Naval Postgraduate School as well as participants from Poland and Romania discussed the concept of the TTX, its aim and objectives, content, roles and responsibilities.

The Main Planning Conference is scheduled to take place in May 2020 in Kyiv.

In 2020 NATO and Ukraine will conduct a TTX on a scenario related to hybrid threats in the Black Sea region. The exercise is part of the April 2019 decision of NATO Foreign Ministers to increase their support to Ukraine against the background of challenges in the Black Sea region. The exercise will be held under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Platform on Countering Hybrid Warfare. Its goal is to support the Ukrainian national authorities in enhancing their resilience against hybrid threats.
