NATO ENERGY SECURITY Center of Excellence

Exchange students from Vilnius University‘s Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences visited NATO ENSEC COE

On the 16th of May, the NATO ENSEC COE was once again visited by a group of international students. This time the Centre hosted 18 exchange students who are currently spending their semester at Vilnius University‘s Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences.

The guests were welcomed by the Centre’s Deputy Director Lieutenant Colonel Pascal FERNANDEZ and Subject Matter experts from different divisions – Commander Andrea MANFREDINI (Head of Doctrine and Concept Development division), Inga PUIKEVSKA (Strategic Analysis Division) and Marju KORTS (Research and Lessons Learned division). They introduced Centre‘s visitors to the history of the NATO ENSEC COE and talked about different projects that the experts are working on.

All students take part in a course called „Small States in International Relations: The Baltic States“. Therefore, they were particularly interested in how this Centre of Excellence contributes to the energy security of the Baltic Sea region and what is its impact on Baltic States. They were grateful to the experts of the Centre for sharing their knowledge and experience on these topics as this information might help them prepare for the upcoming exams and assignments.
