Colonel Bagdonas Meets with the Ukrainian Deputy Minister for European Integration at the Ministry of Energy and Coal industry

Director of the NATO ENSEC COE Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas on May 31 met with Ms Nataliya Boyko, Deputy Minister for European Integration at the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, in Kiev, Ukraine. During the meeting it was discussed about the successful mutual cooperation between the NATO ENSEC COE and Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry and excellent preparation of the Ukrainian institutions to conduct the Table Top Exercise (TTX) Coherent Resilience 2017 which is a part of the Advanced Training Course on Security of Critical Energy Infrastructure.

The Deputy Minister was briefed on the outcomes of the Main Planning Conference of the TTX Coherent Resilience 2017 which was held in a national energy company UKRENERGO. The progress of the planning process and the main challenges that the Exercise Planning Group is facing were discussed. She fully supported all activities required for conducting effective and efficient training. The input of the NATO ENSEC COE in strengthening the local critical energy infrastructure protection was appreciated.

At the end of the meeting, Colonel Bagdonas and Deputy Minister Boyko exchanged souvenirs.
